Nene Diallo is a People Operations Manager at myAgro in Mali. She started working at myAgro in 2017 and since then, Nene has held a variety of positions that have given her the opportunity to share her talents with our team and grow her own professional and personal goals. She first started as Project Associate on the program team but then had the desire to work towards a new goal.
“An amazing opportunity to work on the People Operations team came up. I studied organizational communications and really love that work, so talked with my manager and went through the process. It has been great to be part of a company that wants to see me grow and wants me to grow my career opportunities. It was such an amazing opportunity. Anywhere else may have told me that I had to stay where I was and that moving departments was just not an option.”
Through her dedication and commitment to our mission and her team in Mali, Nene has become an integral part of the myAgro community as she plays a role in hiring the team members that work with our farmers.“We hire the sales teams who work with the farmers to make sure they receive their quality fertilizer. I feel like my contribution is finding talented individuals who are motivated and share our values which then adds to myAgro’s growth and changes farmers’ lives.”
Nene says the most important part of her work is the myAgro mission.
“The most important piece of what we do is the mission. When you join, you feel like it makes sense and it matters. During delivery time when you are doing field visits and are in villages and you see all of the farmers who have saved little by little throughout the years and you see the happiness on their faces, it gives me chills and it is so amazing to see those farmers who have been saving, getting what they have earned. It gives them food for the year and it just gives me goosebumps.”Image from iOS (15).jpg
