myAgro farmers are counting down to harvest which is just one month away! The time leading up to harvest can best be described with one word – JOY – as farmers dream of what they will do with the income they will have from a successful growing season.
Waraba Bagayoko (pictured above) and her nephew planted maize and peanuts with myAgro, next to fields they planted using traditional methods. Seeing the side-by-side difference, Waraba said, “It’s clear to me the difference in my fields. With myAgro the plants are healthy and strong and my harvests will be great. myAgro must continue working with us for a long time.”
When asked what she’ll do with her harvest, the grandmother of four started jumping up and down and said, “Oh my grandchildren will be so full of joy! We’ll have enough to eat this year.”
Before harvest, Field Agents and farmers like Waraba will lead tours of myAgro fields. Waraba has already taken her neighbors to see her field and they asked her how she got such results. Waraba’s joy and enthusiasm for myAgro will encourage other farmers to join the following season.
Both farmers and the myAgro field team have put in a lot of hard work this season, and we look forward to sharing more stories as farmers begin to harvest.
