Ndèye is a farmer, wife, and mother of 6 who lives in Kaolack, Senegal with her husband, children, and extended family. “We all live together in peace and share everything,” she tells us.
She was the first in her village to join myAgro two years ago after winning 5 kilos of rice during a myAgro raffle. After planting with myAgro, Ndèye could see the difference in her harvest and believes that myAgro’s inputs are of higher quality than those she finds at the market “If you use one sack of myAgro seeds, it’s like 3 sacks of the markets,” she said.
After her first harvest in 2020, Ndèye took the money she made and built a second house and she also took part in the nutritional trainings myAgro offers. She says that they had given her more knowledge and believes that they can provide other mothers with additional support. “I learned about different dishes. I knew that bissap is good but I didn’t know the health benefits of the other products. I would recommend the training because if someone has a child who is not well nourished, it will teach them how to take care of their child.”
