At today’s farmer meeting, the president of the farmer’s cooperative, Bengè Doumbia, in Falan gave a warm welcome and blessing to myAgro:
“myAgro is a new pilot project and the mayor, village chief and farmer’s cooperative leaders are all very supportive of myAgro. myAgro’s mission is to increase farmers’ harvests, which is our mission as well. They are only working in three villages to test their model – let us do everything we can to make myAgro successful in Falan.”

He had a really busy day with us – which included helping us manage our harvest purchase program which launched this week. Below, Begnè is paying a farmer who sold us 100 kilos of peanuts. Farmers didn’t have a lot of harvests to sell this year but we’re working on changing that from now on! It was still an important first step to demonstrate that myAgro really does help farmers connect to markets. Farmers will be talking about this all year long.
