Photo of the Week: myAgro Open House!

A savings group farmer shares her experience with myAgro to encourage other farmers to join.

Enrollment season has begun!

One of the most exciting aspects of enrollment time is the myAgro open house.

On the day of the open house, or Journée Porte Ouverte (JPO), the myAgro field team welcomes interested farmers to the field office to learn more about the program.

Taking place in every district, the open houses invite farmers who have already planted with myAgro in the past to talk to new farmers and share their experiences.

Fatou Mbengue is one farmer who felt especially inspired by what she learned at the open house in Tiadiaye, Senegal:

“After Ndoumbe (the myAgro vendor/PSP) came to speak with me, I decided to attend the JPO today. I’m the secretary of my savings group, so I came as representative to get all of the information to bring back to my group,” she explains. “We thought myAgro might be like other organizations who just take money and leave, so we were skeptical. But now, after attending the JPO, I’ve made my decision. I’ve learned that myAgro is a company you can put your trust in, and that the payment system is very suitable for us. I’ll bring this information back to my group, but I’m really happy and ready to join myAgro.”
