Diakaridia is a farmer and myAgro vendor in the district of Niena in southern Mali. Before myAgro began offering sorghum, he had grown it on his own. Unfortunately, his sorghum harvest was never enough to feed his family year-round. When we visited him in July, Diakaridia had high hopes for the hectare of sorghum that he planted with myAgro.
Now, Diakaridia looks at his field and confidently states that he will be able to feed his family all year.
“I’ve used fertilizer in the past, but DAP is the best quality compared to the others,” he says.
Diakaridia is truly impressed by the height and density of his sorghum plants with myAgro.
“The man in the neighboring field saw my sorghum plants and said he wants to join myAgro next year,” he laughs, “Me, I’m going to re-enroll next year and double to 2 hectares of sorghum!”
