In rural Mali and Senegal, people value trust. They trust their family, their community, the brands that they invest in, the people that they hire. With so much at stake and so little to fall back on, that’s all that they have. At myAgro we notice these things and one of our most important goals is to build a relationship of trust with our farmers and communities.
One way to build trust is to make our programs as clear and transparent to our farmers as possible. To do that we create weekly reports on every single one of our farmers that include their savings history, their current balance, and their crop requests. Farmers can see their progress, can feel confident that myAgro is receiving and storing their money, and can communicate any problems or changes immediately.
These reports are increasing transparency, accountability, and collaboration between myAgro and our farmers. This increases our farmers’ trust in us, and encourages them to continue growing more with myAgro.
