“I achieved my savings goal almost without realizing it!” – Nahan Kante
After our seed and fertilizer delivery earlier this year we sat down and visited with Mrs. Nahan Kante, a new member of myAgro.
“Before myAgro came to our village I had to pay a large lump sum of cash for our seed and fertilizer. Most years it was difficult to come up with such a large sum and we had to take out loans, which were quite risky considering the poor rainy seasons.
With myAgro I save little-by-little throughout the year, then seed and fertilizer is delivered at the right time and I am given additional training. I achieved my savings goal almost without realizing it!”
Nahan Kante, a widow with 4 young sons, planted 1/2 hectare of maize and 1/4 hectare of peanuts after seeing how productive her neighbor’s crop was last year. Her neighbor Drissa Fofana was an early adopter and joined myAgro in 2012. Nahan asked Drissa what he had done to get such a good maize field, he explained he planted with myAgro and then invited her to join myAgro as well.
