Aminata Keitais a farmer from Nafadji in Mali who has been partnering with myAgro since 2017. This season, she enrolled in a 1/2 hectare package after experiencing a strong harvest the year before.
“I am very happy with my harvest last year, thanks to myAgro. I was able to get 25 bags of peanuts on my 1/2 hectare plot,” said Aminata.
Aminata was able to sell bags of peanuts and okra to invest more into her farm and family. The money she made helped her purchase school supplies for her children and she was able to keep some of her okra harvest for them to eat.
Aminata has experienced a major change in her yield and her life since working with myAgro.
“I can testify that there is a big difference between my harvest before and now. Before, I did not have access to good quality inputs, which meant that I never had more than 5 bags of groundnuts on my plot. Since I started working with myAgro and gained access to good quality inputs and timely support, I can assure that my production has never been below 15 bags.”
Not only has she gained more yield and income, but more training as well. She believes that her myAgro training played a big role in helping increase her production.
“The training I received from the myAgro team is challenging for me. When I apply them to my plot, I realize that the results are tangible. I am grateful to the team for the support I receive daily.”
Aminata’s next goal is to buy more livestock so that she can grow her income even further.
“Last year, with the money I received from the sale of my groundnuts, I bought a goat. My dream is to be able to have a herd, increase my wealth, and thus help my family, especially in the education of my children.”
