Growing Together with myAgro: Empowering Farmers through Access to Quality Inputs

One of the challenges rural farmers face is finding high-quality inputs for their fields. Some must travel to surrounding villages to pick up their seeds and fertilizers. myAgro’s model allows farmers to pick up high-quality seeds and fertilizer from within several kilometers of their village to save them time and resources. This was the case for Mame Diarra Diouf, a 35-year-old mother of 5. Before partnering with myAgro, “I had to go to [another village] which is a bit distant from me,” Mame shares. Mame is a farmer entering her first growing season with myAgro.

myAgro also offers seed and fertilizer packages of various sizes and combinations so that smallholder farmers can use high-quality inputs at a scale that works for them. Many Farmers face reduced yields and increased food insecurity without access to quality inputs at a scale that is right for them. Over the years, Mame had “enlarged [her] agricultural area [yet] the yields were decreasing day by day,” she shares. With myAgro, Mamae can now choose the right package for her.
